GUWAHATI: Purabi Roy has been appointed as the new president of the Assam Pradesh BJP Mahila Morcha, the women’s wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Assam.

The appointment was announced by Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia, who entrusted Roy with the responsibility of leading the party’s women’s organisation in the state.

As the new president, Roy will oversee the Mahila Morcha’s organisational activities across Assam and lead its initiatives aimed at strengthening the party’s outreach among women. Her appointment is expected to play a key role in expanding the organisation’s activities and strengthening its presence at the grassroots level.
