SEBA to call off affiliation of schools in hills too

Diphu : The Board for Secondary Education, Assam has decided to call off the affiliation of 105 private and venture schools in Assam including schools of Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao district for producing continued poor results in HSLC examination.

This decision of the government was notified on 14th February; the notice has informed that 294 private and venture schools showed very poor performances so far, passing percentage from 0-10.  

The 105 schools preferred not to respond to the show cause notices issued by SEBA, the authority has assumed that the school authorities have no interest to improve their results. The miserable results of these schools are affecting the general pass percentage of the state and the district concerned very unenthusiastically.

Among the 107 schools, Dhansiripar Koch Gaon High School, Virwar High School, Bordeka Langmili English High School, Menmiji English High School, Chinthong High School and Durgapur Girls’ High School of West Karbi Anglong will face the wrath of the authority. In Dima Hasao district, Borowapu High School, Vongzawl High School, Laijav High School and Veer Dimalik Memorial High School will face the same consequence
