Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Thursday congratulated the Tipra Motha Party for its sweeping victory in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections, where the party secured 24 out of 28 seats.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) managed to win the remaining four seats, while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Indian National Congress failed to open their accounts for the second consecutive time in the council polls.

In a message posted on social media, Saha thanked BJP workers for their efforts during the elections and extended his congratulations to all the winning candidates. He said the party respects the people’s mandate and would accept the outcome with humility.

Describing the results as a learning opportunity, the Chief Minister added that the BJP would work harder and strive to return stronger in the future.
