Sushmita Dev Confirms Visit

Silchar: Trinamool Congress MP and actor Saayoni Ghosh is set to campaign in the Barak Valley on April 2, with two election rallies scheduled in Cachar district. The visit was confirmed by Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev during a press conference held on Wednesday.
According to party sources, the first rally will take place at around 3 PM at Udharbond Part-IV, in front of the old petrol pump near the D.N.H.S. School premises. The second rally is scheduled for 5 PM at the Moinul Hoque Memorial Open Stage in Sonai Bazaar.
Preparations for both events are in full swing, with local party workers actively mobilising support. Enthusiasm among supporters is already visible, and organisers are expecting a significant turnout at both venues.
Party leaders have urged people to attend the rallies along with their families, describing the meetings as crucial for spreading the party’s message and strengthening its presence ahead of the upcoming elections. Political activity has intensified in Udharbond and Sonai in recent days, as parties ramp up their campaigns in the region.
