Agartala : In a refreshing and inspiring move, tripurainfo.com officially launched the 2026 edition of its highly anticipated “Tripurainfo Quiz, General Knowledge & Current Affairs” book on November 8 evening at its Lichubagan office, with a group of bright Gen Z boys and girls taking the lead in unveiling the cover. The young participants, thrilled to be part of the event, expressed their joy as they revealed what many of them described as their most essential and favorite book.

Speaking at the formal release ceremony, Tripurainfo editor and managing director, Jayanta Debnath, said the 2026 edition of the Tripurainfo GK book has been specially designed keeping in mind the needs, curiosity, and mindset of the Gen Z generation.

According to Debnath, ‘Generation Z’ refers to those born roughly between 1997 and 2012, a group that has grown up surrounded by the internet, smartphones, social media, and digital technology. “This generation has its own unique perceptions about society, justice, and the world around them. Their sense of fairness, logic, and awareness is shaped by technology and access to information. Therefore, our new edition aims to match their learning style and intellectual needs,” he added.

During the interaction session that followed, Debnath exchanged views with the young participants on various topics, from current affairs to the importance of staying informed about local and global issues. Discussions also focused on how to involve more Gen Z students in the upcoming Tripurainfo Mega Quiz, scheduled for November 9, 2025 to be held at Agartala Rabindra SatabarshikiBhawanHall No-1.

The Gen- Z students praised the quiz committee’s decision to organize a separate quiz round for school students, saying it would help nurture a stronger culture of curiosity and competition among younger participants in Tripura.

The Tripurainfo Quiz, GK & Current Affairs book has been one of the most trusted guidebooks for students and competitive exam aspirants across Tripura for over 15 years. The 2026 edition, edited by Jayanta Debnath and compiled by the Tripurainfo content development team, continues this legacy with updated information on national and international current affairs, general knowledge, government policies, and socio-economic issues.

The book’s first edition was released on October 1, 2007, and the 16th edition came out afresh. It is published by tripurainfo.com, Agartala, and prominent contributors and advisors include Veteran journalist Sekhar Datta and Principal of School of Science Abhijit Bhattacharya, while the Tripurainfo content development team handled compilations and page design.
