Agartala | The 21st All Tripura Mega Quiz, organised by Tripurainfo.com in association with the city’s reputed coaching institute School of Science and other government and private organisations, will be held on Sunday, November 22, at Hall No. 1 of Rabindra Bhavan in Agartala. Online registration for the much-anticipated annual knowledge competition has opened, with participation to be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
The popular quiz competition will be organised in two categories: the School Mega Quiz, open to students from Class I to Class XII, and the Open Mega Quiz, which is open to participants of all ages. School students will also be eligible to participate in the Open Mega Quiz if they wish. Each team will consist of two members, and a maximum of 300 teams will be allowed to participate in each category.
According to the organisers, the competition aims to encourage curiosity, promote general knowledge, nurture a spirit of healthy competition among students and members of the public, and provide an engaging platform for quiz enthusiasts across Tripura.
Each participating team will have to pay a nominal registration fee of Rs. 20. The organisers have announced that the entire amount collected through registration fees will be donated to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, adding a charitable dimension to the annual event.
Online registration will remain open until 6 pm on November 21. Interested participants can visit the official Tripurainfo.com website to complete the registration process. As the number of participating teams is limited to 300 in each category, applicants are advised to register early to secure their places.
For those who prefer offline registration, arrangements will be available at the Tripurainfo office at Lichubagan on Airport Road in Agartala and at the organisation’s office near Agartala Post Office Chowmuhani during office hours.
The competition will commence at 10:30 am on November 22 with a screening test at Rabindra Bhavan’s Hall No. 1. Participants registered for the main competition must enter the venue before 10:30 am.
The organisers have also made special arrangements for members of the audience, including students who may not be competing in the main event. Audience members wishing to participate in the special audience rounds will be permitted to enter the hall after 11 am, once the screening test has concluded.
No registration will be required for participation in the audience rounds. This arrangement is expected to enable a wider section of students and the general public to take part in the day’s activities and enjoy the excitement of the quiz.
The 21st All Tripura Mega Quiz will feature more than 200 attractive prizes across the main competition and audience rounds. In addition to the regular competition awards, special questions will be asked at intervals throughout the programme, giving audience members opportunities to win exciting prizes.
In the School Mega Quiz, the first-prize winner will receive Rs. 20,000 in cash, while the second- and third-prize winners will receive Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5,000, respectively.
The Open Mega Quiz will offer even higher cash awards. The winning team will receive Rs. 30,000, the runner-up will receive Rs. 20,000, and the team finishing third will receive Rs. 10,000.
Apart from the major cash prizes, the organisers have lined up an extensive range of gifts and rewards for participants and audience members. These include bicycles, smart televisions, smartphones, round-trip air tickets between Kolkata and Agartala, and a complimentary one-night stay for two people at Hotel Polo Towers, among other attractive prizes.
Special audience rounds will be conducted for students and members of the general public, with separate awards for the best audience participants in both the School and Open categories. The organisers expect these interactive rounds to add excitement to the programme and encourage greater public participation.
The periodic special questions and bumper prizes are intended to keep the audience engaged throughout the day, making the Mega Quiz not only a competitive event for registered teams but also an entertaining and rewarding experience for spectators.
Over the years, the All Tripura Mega Quiz has developed into a prominent platform for knowledge, learning and intellectual engagement in the state. Its two-category format provides opportunities for school students as well as adults to demonstrate their knowledge, while the audience rounds extend the experience to people who do not wish to enter the main competition.
The decision to contribute the entire registration-fee collection to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund also links the event with a public welfare initiative.
Shekhar Datta, Chairman of the All Tripura Mega Quiz Committee 2026, has urged interested teams to complete their registration within the stipulated deadline. Participants have been advised to visit Tripurainfo.com for detailed rules, regulations and registration information.
With substantial cash prizes, more than 200 rewards, special audience competitions and participation opportunities for people of different age groups, the 21st All Tripura Mega Quiz is expected to be an eagerly anticipated event on Agartala’s annual cultural and educational calendar.
