Vijay Sankalp Sabha Held in Lakhipur Ahead of 2026 Assembly Elections

Lakhipur: As preparations gather pace for the 2026 Assembly elections, a GP-level Vijay Sankalp Sabha was held on Monday at Kaptanpur Barmamda GP under the Lakhipur Assembly constituency.

The programme was marked by the laying of foundation stones for several development works. Under the MLA Development Fund, a community hall at Chingdong Laikai was sanctioned at a cost of Rs 10 lakh.

In addition, two major road projects were launched under the Chief Minister’s Pakipath Nirman Aachani scheme. These include the construction of a road from Kaptanpur First Block to Shivpur at an estimated cost of Rs 77.91 lakh, and another road from Barmamda PWD road to Naga Bazar with an approved outlay of Rs 1.72 crore.

The meeting and foundation stone laying ceremony were attended by Mandal President Varun Singh, Zila Parishad member Kishan Rikiyasan, Anchalik Panchayat member Rinki Rabidas, Panchayat President Seema Rabidas, Ram Bilas Rabidas, Brajeshwar Das, along with other respected citizens of the GP area.

The Vijay Sankalp Sabha focused on strengthening grassroots outreach and reaffirming the party’s commitment to development and public welfare in the run-up to the 2026 Assembly polls.
