Bharatiya Janata Party started the election campaign in favour of BJP nominated candidate for 16 (ST) Haflong Smt Nandita Gorlosa by holding an impressive election rally at Longkhok on Thursday.

In the rally Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council Debolal Gorlosa, District BJP President Donpainan Thaosen, Former CEM Depolal Hojai, MAC,  S T  Jem Hrangkhol, BJP MLA candidate Nandita Gorlosa etc took part in the event.

Speaking on the occasion CEM Gorlosa detailed the development activities done throughout the district during the BJP ruled government while seeking a hundred per cent mandate in favour of BJP candidate in the upcoming election. He believes people of Dima Hasao who wanted overall development of the district as well as its people would definitely cast their vote in favour of the BJP candidate. He also assured that if the people of Dima Hasao bring BJP to power, there will be no dearth of development in the district which the opposition could not do even after a long tenure in the government.

Nandita Gorlosa, as the BJP candidate explained few points of the manifesto which are very important and beneficial to the people of Dima Hasao while assuring that if people make her MLA this time, she would try her best to implement all the points by convincing the government.

BJP District President Thaosen also reiterated that the BJP government in the centre, State and even in council did marvellous development during its short tenure which none can compare with other parties. Regarding the allegation and claims of the opposition, Thaosen said the opposition was having no issues to raise in this election, therefore the opposition has been engaged in spreading misinformation.

MAC, S T  Jem Hrangkhol in his welcome address offered his heartfelt congratulation to the BJP candidate Smt Gorlosa while appealing to people to cast their vote in favour of BJP for their better future.

All the guests along with the BJP candidate were felicitated on behalf of villagers.  This was followed by a huge rally at Hojai village near Sontila.
