He also lauded the achievements of our players in recent times (which they have done without much support from anywhere). Both discussed the present state of affairs of this water sports complex.

After seeing the hardships being faced by these young athletes; shortage of equipment, infrastructures and diet,  Prashant assured to provide 06 boats and a Multigym for ready-built training centre on free of costs to these water sports athletes of Takmu within the month of April, but he requested for transportation costs, which Asnikumar was assured to bear from his side.

Prashant lauded the far-sighted vision of the then sports Minister of our state and present Chief Minister  N. Biren Singh for declaring Takmu, Loktak Lake as a regional water sports complex and for establishing water sports infrastructure during his tenure as sports minister in 2007-2009; considering and recognising the water sports potential of our State as well as an ideal location for the propose. With proper periodic maintenance and upkeep, these infrastructures will continue to be useful in the present and future.

Both decided to collectively persuade the Union Sports Ministry to declare Takmu Water Sports Complex as the centre of excellence of SAI. He assured to visit this ideal site again in near future. And also decided to collectively apprise  N Biren Singh, Chief Minister and Union Sports Minister  Kiren Rijiju  of the potential of the Takmu Water Sports Complex, Loktak to be developed to a world-class water sports training and competition site in the near future.
