“Starex University Gurugram has signed an MOU with IBM-Innovation Centre for Education (IBM-ICE) w. e. f. the session 2021-22- a pioneering step in the Delhi-NCR region to offer Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and Data Science programmes to graduating students in various dominant and futuristic technology areas,” said Chancellor Mohinder Singh while addressing the press conference organised on Saturday.

The Vice-Chancellor Prof. M.M. Goel said that Starex University will be delivering IBM-ICE’s cutting-edge programs as the knowledge partner for emerging technologies under the innovative ‘Industry-Academia Collaboration Framework’ platform of IBM.

A novel step was taken by Starex University in collaboration with IBM will ensure the delivery of advanced applied knowledge to the students through industry interactions, to develop the industry and applied excellence in students and make them be ‘industry as well as future-ready aspirants, told the Vice-Chancellor Goel.

Starex University is in the mission mode of expansion for enhancing the domain of Needo-education through new courses. We believe in ‘work works’. We are street SMART (simple, moral, action-oriented, responsive, and transparent) and understand the needs of the Pandemic Era and thereafter. We have approved a blended mode of education in tune with the UGC mandate in the Academic Council of the university held on July 13, 2021, along with IPR policy. We are committed to implementing HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) mandated in National Education Policy 2020, told VC.

According to Vithal Madyalkar, Program Director, IBM Innovation Center for Education, IBM India/South Asia, “There is a strong demand for management professionals skilled in technology and management. The IBM Innovation Center for Education initiative will equip the students at the campus to adapt to the dynamics in the industry and drive technology and business innovation. The industry-relevant diploma will provide deep theoretical knowledge to the students, coupled with broad-based industry alignment, interaction, talent discoverability as well as excellence in their professional practice. Through this collaboration, we can positively impact the outcomes of the participating professionals and students”.

During this event, Dhaval Shah (CEO, Datagami, Mumbai) shared his expert opinion for the MOU of Starex University with IBM. He said that this MOU will enlighten the global path of education to the Indian students for overall development as well as placement also.
