The forecast has raised concerns over possible waterlogging and localized flooding in vulnerable areas

KRC TIMES Assam Bureau

Guwahati: Assam is expected to witness excess to large excess rainfall across several regions over the next two weeks, according to the latest weather forecast.

For the period from April 24 to April 30, cumulative rainfall activity is likely to remain above normal in most parts of Northeast Assam and parts of West Assam. Meanwhile, central Assam and several areas in South Assam are expected to receive large excess rainfall.

The forecast has raised concerns over possible waterlogging and localized flooding in vulnerable areas, especially in low-lying regions. Authorities are likely to remain on alert as continuous rainfall could impact daily life and agriculture.

Residents have been advised to stay updated with weather advisories and take necessary precautions as the state braces for an active spell of rain.
