The third edition of Lokmanthan 2022 was successfully started on Wednesday at Sankardeva Kalakshetra, Guwahati with the Inauguration of the Exhibition & Cultural Program

The exhibition and cultural evening of Lokmanthan 2022 have been officially Inaugurated by   Bimal Bora, Minister of Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprises, and Cultural Affairs, Govt. of Assam along with Maharaja Leishamba Sanajaoba, Member of Rajya Sabha Manipur Tirthanka Das Kalita, Boudhik Pramukh, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

The Exhibition of Lokmanthan 2022 is giving a spectacular mosaic of Lok Kala, Paramapra of Bharat exhibition of Agri products, etc. The first day saw a series of dance performances representing the diverse culture of the Northeast.

The popular Assamese singer Neel Akash and Manipur’s folk artist group Mangka Laihui enthralled even the evening with their spectacular folk music.

A dance performance titled ‘Colors of North-East’, Produced by NEZCC, represents the diverse culture of the Northeast. The performance was organized under the supervision of Dr. Prasanna Gogoi.

The traditional Rikhampada dance of the Nichi people of Arunachal, Bihu dance, Bardwisikhla, Hamjar, Domahi Kikang, Gumraag & Jhumur from Assam, Puig & Dhol Dholok Cholom & Thang-ta from Manipur, Wangala from Meghalaya, Cheraw from Mizoram

Thüvü Shele Pheta (Chakhesang Chicken Dance) from Nagaland, Singhi Chham from Sikkim and Hojagiri from Tripura was showcased in the performance.
