Silchar: In a major anti-drug operation, Cachar Police intercepted a vehicle coming from a neighbouring state and seized 3 lakh Yaba tablets, with an estimated street value of Rs.90 crore.

Two individuals involved in transporting the narcotics have been arrested and are in police custody. Officials said the operation was part of a continuing crackdown on drug trafficking in the region.

“Crime never pays,” a senior police officer remarked, highlighting the force’s commitment to curbing drug-related activities. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities looking to trace the network behind the illegal shipment.
