Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajive Mohan Pant presided over the ceremony. Registrar Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath and senior statutory officers were also present, underscoring the administration’s backing for the incoming student leaders.

The auditorium drew a large turnout as the president, vice president, general secretary, assistant general secretaries, cultural secretary, magazine secretary and sports secretary took their oaths. Each pledged to uphold the AUSU constitution and work for the welfare of the student community.

Congratulating the new team, Prof. Pant called student leadership a vital part of the university’s democratic culture. He urged the office-bearers to lead with empathy, clarity and responsibility, and assured them of full administrative support in resolving student issues.

Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath echoed this view, advising the committee to stay committed to democratic values and maintain constructive engagement with students and university officials.

The ceremony closed with a strong sense of purpose as the new executive committee prepared to take up its responsibilities for the year ahead.
