According to officials, several traders had reportedly occupied government land along the roadside and set up temporary business establishments. The alleged encroachments were said to have created difficulties for pedestrians and hindered the smooth movement of vehicles along the busy route.

The eviction operation was conducted under the supervision of officials from the Lakhipur Sub-Divisional Administration, with support from the police and other concerned departments. During the drive, temporary structures built on the encroached land were dismantled and cleared.

Officials stated that the action was taken to restore public land and ensure the free movement of traffic and pedestrians in the market area. They also reiterated that government land cannot be occupied without proper authorization and warned against future encroachments.

The administration has urged traders and residents to cooperate in maintaining public spaces and has indicated that similar drives may be conducted in other areas if necessary.
