Hojai: A booklet highlighting the tourism, cultural and historical heritage of Hojai and Central Assam was formally launched at Rabindranath Thakur Vishwavidyalaya (RTV), Hojai, on August 28.

Titled “Hojai Tourism Circuit: Where Nature and Heritage Unite – A Tour Guide for Central Assam,” the publication showcases the region’s natural beauty, historical sites, cultural traditions and tourism potential.
The booklet also carries messages from Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya and Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, adding significance to the publication’s efforts to promote the tourism and cultural heritage of Central Assam.
The first edition of the booklet was published in 2026. The concept, guidance and direction were provided by RTV Vice-Chancellor Prof. Manabendra Dutta Choudhury. Gautam Sarmah of the Department of History, RTV, served as editor and writer, while Rakhal Roy Choudhury, P.S. to the Vice-Chancellor, worked as the compiler.
The booklet has been published by Rabindranath Thakur Vishwavidyalaya in collaboration with Kaziranga Publication, Hojai.
The publication is expected to serve as a useful guide for visitors while also drawing greater attention to Hojai and Central Assam as destinations rich in nature, history and culture.
