Silchar: Silchar Lok Sabha MP Parimal Suklabaidya laid the foundation stone for a road project under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) at Cleverhouse in Borkhola.

Borkhola MLA Kishore Nath was present at the foundation stone-laying ceremony, along with Public Works Department (PWD) officials, Panchayat representatives and local residents.

The project is expected to improve road connectivity in the area and make transportation easier for local residents. The PMGSY aims to provide better road access to rural areas and strengthen connectivity between villages and nearby towns.

The presence of elected representatives, officials and residents marked the beginning of the road project, which is expected to benefit people in the surrounding areas.
