To get the helping hand of God, we need to do altruism without expecting anything in exchange

Being needonomist, I wish to justify needolove as need and love to be one which has to be understood and adopted as needonomics based lifestyle in present times of covid created lockdown. We have learnt many lessons from the lockdown in changing the lifestyle including enjoying loneliness as a solitude without complaining the loved ones.  We have learnt to confine to need-based life while living at home by loving self as the soul which is immortal and the death rate is zero. As a soul, the fear of death is false evidence appearing real but we must understand that a person who has taken birth is to die is the ultimate reality and the death rate is 100 per cent. Then why we fear death? At the same time, it is our duty to treat the physical body as a temple where the soul lives and take care of it as health is wealth and a sound mind lives in a sound body are more than adages as sermons of life.

It is easy to understand our needs and work for them with love. Every action has to be performed with love and not hatred. Need is love and vice versa has to understand to make need and love as one. We have to adopt needonomics ( economics of needs)  as an implication of the sermon of my Guru Gita in verse 9.22 adopted by Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India in its logo ‘Yogakshemam Vahamyaham’(Your welfare is our responsibility). Needonomics is spiritual, nonviolent and ethical in nature and requires actions suiting circumstances as a common-sense approach of ‘cut the coat according to the cloth’ more than a proverb applies to individuals, business establishments and three-tier governments in Bharat as knowledge seeker economy enjoying the status of ‘Vishavguru’.  There is a need of using requirement analysis to determine the actual needs of stakeholders. It enables the development team to communicate with stakeholders in a language they understand (like charts, models, flow-charts,).

We need all kind of relationships in family, personal and professional life with love. Are they without love?  The relationships without love with nature and the environment cause all kinds of behavioural pollution and need to be controlled at all levels.

To get the helping hand of God, we need to do altruism without expecting anything in exchange.

Sadly, people are straying and isolating themselves from each other, whereas, our need is to love what we need. Loving true self as the soul is the lesson of lockdown.

We must love what we need and work with zeal and enthusiasm for satisfying them. To make a livelihood, we should love our work, occupation or profession. We have to do our jobs as a joyous endeavour. We may not be able to get the job of choice in times of severe crisis of unemployment but gives decent salary required to be performed with love.

We have to understand the earning a living and doing for living with love as Needolove for work. I enjoy reading, re-reading, writing for teaching as my profession and love to sleep for sweet dreams as a soul with no title and designations. I believe in the presence of the soul as the mind in the sleep which increases immunity to cope with any crisis.

We should be open to the ideas and thoughts for shaping the economy needed today. We cannot afford social unrest in the name of religion, caste reservations, region which should be resolved by taking the stakeholders in confidence with an open mind.  The combination of factors affecting the performance of the economy at all levels need to be understood, analysed and interpreted for solving with effective use of head, heart, hands and soul individually and collectively. We need positive leadership which can think logically for the public wellbeing and shape the economy with concrete programmes of actions that are practical and productive. We need to look deep within by changing the attitude from careless to be careful and useless to be useful to the society and economy at large.

To give defeat to the socio-economic problems caused by the pandemic in the economy, we have to adopt Needonomics, Needo-agriculture, Needo-entrepreneurship, Needo-banking, Needo-finance, Needo-trade, Needo-manpower, Needoeducation, Needofood, Needochemsitry, Needohappiness and above all Needolove in all relationships with people and nature. Enjoy reading the chain of ideas in needonomics school of thought emerging and evolving as an idea of India.  This is in tune with the UNESCO report ‘Learning the Treasure Within’, meaning thereby learning to know, learning to do, learning how to live together and learning to be. It is also required to implement National Education Policy 2020 with a focus on HOTS- Higher Order Thinking Skills with creativity, innovation and critical thinking and justify redesigning curriculum and pedagogy of economics inculcating glocal (thinking globally and acting locally) value system.  We can achieve morality, opulence, victory and empowerment to participate in the socio-economic development with a common-sense approach of needonomics.  To do so, we need to become street smart (simple, moral, action-oriented and transparent) citizenry as consumers, producers, distributors and traders.
