Dholai: With the Assembly elections approaching, BJP candidate Amiya Kanti Das has stepped up his campaign across the Dholai constituency, carrying out a series of meetings and outreach programmes on Saturday.

The day saw multiple Shakti Kendra-based gatherings under the Narsingpur Mandal, beginning at Paloi village under Panibhora GP. Campaign activities then moved to Tipra Punji, where booth-level meetings were held, followed by another key interaction covering two booths in the Babankhal area under Jibangram GP.

Further engagements took place in West Debipur, Durgabari Forest and Bhaban Khal Shivbari, where Das interacted with local residents and party workers. The programmes reflected efforts to strengthen connect in interior and remote areas of the constituency.

In the later part of the day, the campaign expanded to Mathurapur, where Das conducted door-to-door visits, attended community hall meetings and reached out to people at Vidyaratanpur Bazaar. The day’s activities concluded with public gatherings in Narayanpur and the Rajnagar–Khulichhara market areas.

Several party leaders and workers were present during the programmes, including Narsingpur Mandal President Sanjay Kairi, GPC member Pompi Nath Majumdar, Dholai election in-charge Sudhanshu Das and Samacharanpur GP President Pritesh Das.

Party members said the focus remains on strengthening booth-level organisation and maintaining close contact with voters as campaigning continues across the constituency.
