Guwahati: The Assam Government has effected a major reshuffle in the police department, transferring several senior officials across key districts.

As per the official order issued on Thursday, Partha Protim Das (IPS), currently serving as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Sribhumi, has been appointed as the new SSP of Cachar. He replaces Numal Mahatta (APS), who has been transferred and posted as the SSP of Kokrajhar.

Meanwhile, Leena Doley, the present SSP of Dhubri, will assume charge as the new SSP of Sribhumi.The transfer order comes as part of a broader administrative move aimed at streamlining operations and strengthening law and order across the state.
