North East Integration Rally

Laishoi Village: An art competition promoting the Northeast Integration Rally was held on December 23 at the Laishoi Village Community Hall, in collaboration with the Eta Northeast Women’s Network. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 45 children, including 25 children from the Laishoi Water Complex Relief Camp.

The painting competition was organised on the theme of Climate Change, providing a creative platform for children to express their concerns and ideas on environmental protection and sustainable living.

In the Class 6 to 10 category, Thiyam Malemnganba secured the first position, followed by Thiyam Yaifabi in second position, while Oinam Yeninghunba secured the third position.

In the Class 1 to 3 category, Thiyam Sandhya won the first position, Chinglemba Oinam secured the second position, and Thoungamba Irom stood third.

Eta Northeast Women’s Network has been actively associating with Laishoi Relief Camp and Laishoi Village through various community-based initiatives.

For the past two years, the organisation has been implementing livelihood initiatives and the Learning Tree Initiative, under which Sunday classes are regularly conducted focusing on everyday science, human values, and personality development.

The event successfully combined creativity with social awareness, reinforcing the spirit of unity, environmental responsibility, and inclusive development in line with the objectives of the Northeast Integration Rally.
