Kolonga State Dispensary located in West Karbi Anglong district within the administrative control of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council has failed in extending substantial public service due to its poor infrastructure and lack of essential health care facilities. The whole medical facility is in an appalling state, the structure bears a resemblance to a wrecked construction with brushwood which took root from the walls of the only hospital in the region. This is because of lack of renovation and poor keeping, the boundary wall of the medical center collapsed long ago.

In absence of an official residential facility for the medical officers and staff of the dispensary scheme for round the clock service has gone with the wind, and the prevailing situation has badly influenced the people of the region; they have requested the authority of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Health department to take up the issue at the earliest and resolve the impasse.
