Six Dima Hasao’s Taekwondo champs among Assam to trained in Thailand

Six Taekwondo champs of Dima Hasao district are among Assam to participated at “Hero Taekwondo Training Program” at Bangkok in Thailand.

The six champs including three boys namely Nathan Masona Darnei, Aprajeet Paul and Anshuman Joishi, while the girls are Benla Kemprai, Jengsmai Khersa and Anushkha Ghimire. All have earlier earned fame in Taekwondo championship both at state and national level achieving a numbers of medal and brings laurel to Dima Hasao district. They were lead by coach cum instructor Anuj Kumar Hagjer. Total duration of the programme was 10 days i.e from 17th to 27th April.

Dima Hasao Sports and Youth Welfare department partially sponsored the fund for the training program.

Probita Johari, NC Hill Autonomous Council executive member for Sports and Youth Welfare department, expressing her happiness said the youth who received training from abroad would someday surely brings laurel to the district by participating in international level. She added that the department is committed toward developing sense of sports in the district and will continue to supports aspiring athletes of the district.

Participants shares their experiences and challenges to be imparted in training with highly skilled instructor and said that they love the sport and hope for enhancing their skill more and more.
