With an aim to provide functional tap water connection to every household under the Central scheme Jal Jeevan Mission, the Manipur government has also taken steps to construct water tanks at various places in rural areas of Jiribam District.

The construction works of the water tank are in full swing and are expected to complete within a few months and to provide safe drinking water to every household.

Concerning PHED, Jiribam Division officials took all the necessary measures and inspected the worksites regularly.
